Improve Workplace Safety and Reduce Risks

We are seeking a Health & Safety Consultant/Risk Assessor to join our team in Milton Keynes on a short-term contract basis. As a consultant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our employees and the effectiveness of our health and safety management system.

The position offers a competitive salary of circa £160,000 per annum (outside IR35), providing an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on workplace safety.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive health and safety risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  2. Training and Development: Create and deliver training programs to educate employees on health and safety procedures, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
  3. Action Planning: Develop and implement action plans to address identified risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. System Maintenance: Collaborate with the team to maintain and improve the health and safety management system, ensuring it remains effective and up-to-date.

Requirements:

  1. Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience in a similar consultancy role, preferably in the manufacturing, chemicals, heavy engineering, or mechanical industry.
  2. Relevant Qualifications: Possession of relevant health and safety qualifications, such as NEBOSH or NCRQ.
  3. Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement, developing effective solutions to reduce risks and improve workplace safety.
