Senior Estimator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Steel Connexions Limited, a specialist recruitment company dedicated to the structural steelwork industry.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and producing tenders for Structural Steel and Cladding construction projects, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to secure profitable work orders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with estimating management, production management, site management, and company directors to deliver high-quality estimates.
  2. Carry out material take offs, estimating all required labour, materials, and equipment costs, including MEWPs and Crane costs.
  3. Liaise internally and externally to ensure accurate pricing and project delivery.
Requirements
  1. A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years estimating experience in the Structural Steel industry.
  3. High level of familiarity with the UK Steel industry.
  4. Excellent numerical, analytical, communication, and organisational skills, with strong commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Strong leadership capabilities.
