Economic Development Specialist

About the Job:

The City of Cornwall is seeking a highly skilled Economic Development Specialist to oversee the operations of the Business Enterprise Centre. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in a progressive business or government environment and a post-secondary degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

This role involves creating innovative approaches to coaching, training, and mentoring clients and partners in delivering services to entrepreneurs and effectively managing the Business Enterprise Centre. The successful candidate will also implement Ministry programs within the region, maintain and update the BEC website and social media accounts, and research and prepare media releases and presentations.

As an Economic Development Specialist, you will be responsible for promoting community economic development, building and maintaining partnerships with area municipalities and organizations, and delivering various services and programs to businesses, municipalities, and communities in our region.

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
