About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Tradewind Recruitment. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs in a secondary PRU in Camden.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage behaviour and implement the school's behaviour policy
  • Provide individualised support to students in class, small groups and one-to-one
  • Encourage student engagement in learning activities and promote a positive learning environment
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of support plans to meet the needs of each student
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting students
About the School

The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment for students with social, emotional and mental health needs. Class sizes are small, with up to six students per class, and the school has a high staff-to-pupil ratio to ensure each student receives the support they need.

The school supports students from Camden secondary schools who have been permanently excluded, allocated a place through SEN consultation or via the Securing Education Board on a short-term placement. Many students also have an additional diagnosis of autism and/or ADHD.
