About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as a Registered Manager for a brand new 4-bed EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) home catering to children aged 8-18 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential home, ensuring high-quality care and support for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  2. Lead and manage a team of care staff, providing guidance, support, and supervision as necessary.
  3. Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each resident, in accordance with relevant legislation, Ofsted regulations, and best practice guidelines.
  4. Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times, maintaining a secure and nurturing environment.
  5. Manage the recruitment, training, and performance of staff members, promoting continuous professional development and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  6. Collaborate with the Head of Operations to set and achieve key performance targets, including occupancy levels, staff retention, and resident satisfaction.

Requirements:

  1. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
  2. At least 2 years of supervisory experience within a children's home setting, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation, Ofsted regulations, and best practice guidelines.
  3. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to working with children and young people.
  4. Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the service, including occasional evening and weekend work as required.
