GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Specialist to join our dynamic team at a thriving primary school in Hackney.

About the Role

This is a long-term opportunity starting at September, where you will support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and provide targeted support to individual students or small groups.

As a Learning Support Specialist, you will assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources, help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers.

You will also be responsible for fostering a safe and supportive learning environment for all pupils.

What We Are Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Specialist is highly desirable but not essential.
  • A passion for working with children and helping them achieve their potential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting classroom activities.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000-£35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
