We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychology Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at the South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior clinical psychologist to provide specialist clinical psychology services to users, working collaboratively with non-psychologist colleagues, professionals from other agencies, and carers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer consultation, supervision, and training when required by other agencies involved in the psychological, emotional, and behavioral well-being of referred individuals.
  • Provide assessment and treatment options for individuals experiencing moderate, severe, and complex mental health problems.
  • Seek to expand and consolidate clinical skills using training, experience, and supervision.
  • Be proficient in the use of psychometric testing appropriate to the age range.
  • Provide specialist risk assessment and intervention for individuals presenting to the service.
  • Follow appropriate Adult and Child Protection guidelines in all clinical work, including close liaison with all agencies.
  • Liaise and consult with the wider professional network in the care of clients.
  • Receive regular professional supervision from a senior Clinical Psychologist and other senior clinicians as appropriate.
  • Access continuing professional development opportunities in line with agreed targets and personal development plans.
  • Assist in the supervision of Doctoral level Clinical Psychology trainees and trainees from other disciplines as appropriate.
  • Assist in the teaching and training of professionals.
  • Provide advice on research projects to other staff within the service around appropriate methodology and statistical analysis.
  • Undertake project management as required to aid service development.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice through active participation in training and development programmes.
  • Maintain membership of appropriate regulatory bodies (e.g., The Health & Care Professionals Council) and professional bodies such as the British Psychological Society.
  • Contribute to the development and articulation of best practice in psychology across the service.
  • Maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping, including electronic data entry, report writing, and professional self-governance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies, and issues related to the clients served by the service.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £43,141 - £70,305 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including pension scheme, annual leave, and access to continuing professional development opportunities.
