Data Centre Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Greater London Area. As a key member of our Data Centre Engineering Operations (DCEO) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the maintenance and operation of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment to the highest standards.
  • Supervise corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, including risk management and mitigation.
  • Assist in the design and build of new data halls and data centres.
  • Manage sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring all work performed meets our high standards.
  • Review vendor RAMS and MOPs to ensure safety practices are adhered to.
  • Operate and manage routine and emergency services on critical systems, including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and more.
  • Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency in the data centre.
  • Project manage operational aspects of the data centre, including asset and inventory management.
Requirements:
  • City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of work experience in a critical operations environment.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Good understanding of data centre critical infrastructure, including diesel generators, chillers, cooling towers, and more.
  • 6+ years of Data Centre Engineering/Operations Experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
