About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welding Technician to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a key member of our operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our welding procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct welding research and development trials to improve our processes and products.
  • Maintain and enforce welding standards to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Develop and compile welding procedures and qualifications to meet industry standards.
  • Liaise with third-party inspectors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage welder qualifications to ensure they meet our standards.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Experience with portable arc monitoring systems and structural welding.
  • Understanding of production processes and workflows.
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent experience in welding.
  • CSWIP-3.1 or PCN level two Welding Inspector certification (desirable).
  • HNC in welding fabrication (desirable).

The successful candidate must be eligible for Security Check (SC) clearance.
