Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team on a part-time, term-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting learners in the development of study skills and assisting with the delivery of ALS sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Learners: Provide one-to-one support to learners, helping them develop essential study skills and strategies to achieve academic success.
- ALS Session Delivery: Assist teaching staff in delivering ALS sessions, ensuring learners receive comprehensive support and guidance.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and reports, tracking learner progress and identifying areas for improvement.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with teaching staff and other support services to ensure seamless coordination and effective communication.
- Learning Environment: Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting learner engagement and motivation.
- Adaptability: Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in responding to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with learners, staff, and stakeholders, using clear and concise language.
- Professional Development: Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Policies and Procedures: Contribute to the development of ALS policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and best practice.
- Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to college policies and procedures.
