Chief Security Strategist

As Chief Security Strategist at Valeo Confectionery Limited, you will play a critical role in shaping our IT security posture. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and implement proactive security measures across our UK business.

• Closely collaborate with our IT Operations team to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, ensuring the integrity of our systems and data.
• Maintain and update endpoint detection and response (EDR) systems for both clients and servers.
• Contribute to project delivery and new security system implementations, driving innovation and best practices within the organization.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in information security or equivalent experience in IT system administration with a focus on security.
• Proven expertise in incident response, systems monitoring, and analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with office and remote staff.
• Technical proficiency in security patching Microsoft servers and clients, as well as working knowledge of security principles (AV, email security, firewalls).
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, particularly Defender, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• A flexible approach to work, supporting a 24/7 production environment.

Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
