About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical and Electrical Inspector to join our team at Fives Landis Ltd. As a key member of our Inspection team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products, from initial assembly to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of fully assembled machines to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Perform 'power up' tests and adjustments to ensure machines are functioning correctly
  • Collaborate with the Head of Product Quality to identify and implement process improvements
  • Attend customer sites to install and service machines, providing technical support and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of grinding processes, machine tools, and relevant technical specifications
Requirements
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or alternative required discipline
  • Relevant technical or engineering qualification in mechanical desirable but full training will be given
  • Knowledge of grinding processes highly desirable but full training will be given
  • Knowledge of machine tools essential
  • Experience in Soft PLC to iec61131 and understanding of Field Bus Profinet, Profibus
  • Ability to travel for service/aftermarket departments when required
  • Flexibility in working time, including occasional requirement to work different shifts and overtime
