Commercial Account Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled National Account Manager to join our team at Lewis Garner Consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive sales growth and profitability across a portfolio of key retail accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute account plans to deliver budgeted sales and track spend and profit measures.
- Maintain and develop current accounts while bringing new customers to the business.
- Assist with the delivery of the company strategy and implement customer plans to deliver mutually profitable sales growth.
- Establish and maintain the appropriate invoice pricing structure and manage trade spend to ensure 100% conditional.
- Leverage category management principles to deliver win-win solutions, including distribution, new listings, and range review gains.
- Develop a mutually profitable business plan and framework for growth on all key metrics.
- Work closely with the development team on business planning and lead cross-functional teams.
- Ensure good housekeeping via efficient ledger query management and adhere to internal processes and timescales for forecasting and business planning.
- Personally ensure that all aspects of due diligence (food safety, quality, and legislation) are adhered to.
Requirements:
- Experience of food service is essential to succeed in this role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills with the confidence and passion for selling.
- Excellent negotiator and results-driven.
- Experience of effective external stakeholder management.
- Demonstrable experience in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Good market awareness coupled with the ability to build, lead, negotiate, and conclude commercially sound customer plans and core business.

- Educated to degree level.
- Strong commercial acumen, confidence to make commercially sound decisions.
- Ability to build, lead, negotiate, and conclude commercially sound customer plans.
- Experience in dealing with multiple customers at various levels.
- Proven ability in analysing and interpreting all available data.
- Demonstrates good customer awareness.
- Excellent relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
