About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Lead to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a Senior Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading and delivering technical projects, working closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical delivery teams to deliver projects to completion, within budget and to programme.
  • Manage own time effectively, working on multiple projects as required.
  • Deliver technically compliant design deliverables, in accordance with client requirements.
  • Produce designs and calculations to demonstrate acceptable performance or identify design issues.
  • Produce key technical documentation, including calculations and design reports.
  • Build internal relationships and identify business opportunities.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in Environment, Safety, Health, Security and Quality.

Requirements

  • Strong academic background with a relevant Honours degree, or equivalent.
  • Chartered Engineer Status, e.g. MICE, MIStructE or MIMechE.
  • Experience in the use of computer modelling packages, such as finite element analysis (e.g. Abaqus and Ansys), finite difference analysis, or finite volume fluid dynamics packages.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Flexible attitude to both the type of work undertaken and the level of responsibility given.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with working to design codes, industry standards, and performance-based design approaches appropriate for a safety-critical industry.
  • Site experience.
  • Applied experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
