The Tech Business Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical, and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team to drive efficient and scalable solutions that deliver value across the bank.

This role is part of the ISG (Information Services Group) and contributes to the continuous development of a strategic data application. You will work on a best-in-class system that acts as the strategic source for high-quality Securities Reference data across the enterprise, enhancing its capabilities and data in line with business and regulatory requirements.

By joining the Security Master Central (SMC) team, you will work with the latest technologies and interact with stakeholders from across the bank, enabling Citi to succeed in delivering value for our clients, while playing a key role in our data governance and data quality strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Utilizing knowledge of software development lifecycle procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements.
  2. Analyzing business client needs, deriving test cases, understanding, and documenting their use case.
  3. Resolving problems by translating business requirements, identifying trends, and defining scope to inform technical solutions.
  4. Analysis of large sets of product reference data across Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Structured Finance securities from varying sources.
  5. Defining and designing enhancements to the system, business processes, and process automation utilizing best practices and industry standards.
  6. Consulting with users and clients to troubleshoot complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes and systems.
  7. Identifying and communicating risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
  8. Fostering communication between business leaders and IT stakeholders, facilitating exchange of ideas/information in a concise and logical manner.
  9. Providing reports, metrics, and presentations to inform business users.
  10. Testing systems to ensure projects meet requirements and identifying system problems.
  11. Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
