Freight Forwarder Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Freight Forwarder to join our team at ALS Recruiting Ltd. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing the import and export of goods from various global locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the collection process with designated transportation firms.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, branch offices, international agents, and transportation providers.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing queries and providing timely updates.
  • Manage order tracking, invoicing, and pre-alerts from overseas offices and agents.
  • Handle Customs entries as required.
  • Monitor shipments until final delivery.
  • Manage job costing and invoicing duties.

Requirements:

  • At least two years' experience with a UK-based freight forwarding company.
  • Experience in import or export operations, including air, road, or ocean shipments.
  • Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures.
  • Practical experience with freight-related software such as Cargowise, Multifreight, etc.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.

What We Offer:

  • Salary: £27,000 - £35,000
  • Annual performance-related bonuses
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
