**Job Title:** Precision Component Inspector

**About the Role:** We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join our client, a well-established manufacturer of special purpose components. As a Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections of machined parts to drawings and specifications.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of machined parts to drawings and specifications
  • Use manual equipment such as Vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, screw ring, and plug gauge, height gauges, projector, etc.
  • Ability to run approved CMM programs (training would be given)
  • Carry out first-off and final inspections
  • Maintain inspection documents

**Requirements:

  • Proven quality inspection experience within an engineering environment
  • Understanding of GD+T and ability to read and understand drawings
  • Capable of 1st principal inspection
  • Formal engineering qualification/apprentice-trained would be an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Competent using Excel and Word

**Benefits:

* Competitive salary range of £17.00 per hour

* Opportunities for overtime and training on wider metrology/CMM machinery

* Day shift pattern with a 12:30 pm Friday finish
