Hgvtraders is looking for a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with repairs, contributing to workshop maintenance, and attending college courses.

About the Role
  • Assist with Repairs: Follow industry-standard procedures and use specialized tools to deliver high-quality results.
  • Contribute to Workshop Maintenance: Ensure a safe and efficient working environment by maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Attend College Courses: Enhance your technical knowledge through regular coursework and achieve academic standards.

As a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist, you will receive comprehensive training, including hands-on experience with modern trucks, buses, and coaches. You will work alongside experienced technicians, learning to repair, service, MOT, and maintain complex vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks.
  2. Contribute to improving workshop efficiency and productivity.
  3. Participate in regular training sessions to develop technical skills.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of mechanical systems and a passion for learning.
  • Candidates with a minimum of grade 4 GCSE in English and Maths.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • $60 per hour (estimated annual salary: £62,400).
