Job Overview

Heating Engineer required to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. Our client has been providing buildings support to local authorities, social landlords, NHS trusts, and private sector clients for over 40 years.


As a Heating Engineer, you will carry out servicing and remedial repairs to gas fired heating boilers within occupied and unoccupied properties across various postcodes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out full commissioning of gas heating boilers and associated controls on completion of installation or servicing works
  • Demonstrate and have a good fault finding/diagnostic skill and to carry out necessary repairs/replacement of defective parts etc.
  • Draining down and re-filling of heating system/s in order to remove and replace defective/leaking radiators or associated isolation valves
  • Ensure that all work carried out complies with the relevant sections of the 'Health and Safety at Work Act' (risk assessment, asbestos awareness etc.)
  • Take part in 'out-of-hours' emergency call out on a rota basis

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Heating Engineer in the same industry.
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Have experience of boiler fluing arrangements, encompassing building fabric or materials used that may have to be penetrated
  • Willing to work in confined spaces and at heights
  • Must hold ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1)
