Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on customs regulations, trade agreements, and tariff systems to ensure compliance with international trade law.
  • Develop and implement customs compliance strategies to optimize trade operations and minimize risks.
  • Oversee customs entry work, ensuring accurate and timely submissions with follow-up action for Import and Export declarations.
  • Provide cover for brokers when required and respond to Customs-related enquiries.
  • Ensure client feedback is communicated with the team to enable continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position within the packaging sector with practical experience of providing Customs and Compliance Consultancy to Importers and Exporters.
  • Strong track record of successfully obtaining customs' approvals on behalf of traders.
  • Working knowledge of submitting entries into the C88 and CDS software.
  • Business Degree would be looked upon favourably although not essential.
  • Thorough understanding of market, key players, product knowledge.
