About the Role

As a Customer Delivery Driver at Tesco, you will be responsible for delivering customer shopping trips in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires a high level of customer service, as you will be interacting with customers on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver customer shopping trips in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Ensure that the van and trays are clean and tidy, and that the back yard is left clean and clear of rubbish
  • Load the van as required, checking the van for roadworthiness
  • Take care of products/deliveries as if they were your own
  • Call the customer before arriving at their property if early, and call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late

Requirements

  • A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
