Job Overview

We are seeking an Emergency Medical Care Specialist to join our team at UK Event Medical Services (UKEMS). As a leading provider of independent ambulance services and healthcare logistics, we take pride in delivering high-quality care to our patients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in need. This will involve working closely with our teams of trained clinicians and ambulance staff to ensure the safe transfer of patients to and from vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive UKEMS vehicles under emergency, urgent, and normal driving conditions
  • Ensure the safe transfer of patients to and from vehicles, utilizing appropriate equipment and manual handling techniques
  • Undertake a dynamic risk assessment on arrival at the scene of an incident or support colleagues in this duty
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, colleagues, members of other emergency services, and healthcare professionals
  • Maintain adequate supplies of medical equipment and ensure all clinical waste is disposed of

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A CERAD or IHCD qualification in Ambulance Emergency Driving (ECA)
  • A full UK current driving license
  • The ability to lift a minimum of 11 stone (70 kgs) with a colleague

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of around £28,000-£35,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive comprehensive induction and ongoing training, as well as opportunities to acquire additional recognized qualifications.
