About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Academic Support Specialist to join a dynamic school in Sunderland. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and support students in their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safeguarding students' learning by supervising classes during short-term teacher absences.
  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons and maintaining student engagement.
  • Managing classroom behavior and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Providing individualized support to students as needed.
  • Collaborating with teachers to ensure students receive the necessary guidance.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as an Academic Support Specialist or in a similar role, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

We offer a competitive daily rate of £100-£120 (dependent on experience) for this rewarding position.
