Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our nursery team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of early childhood education.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursery, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This includes leading a team of childcare professionals, developing and implementing age-appropriate educational programmes, and maintaining accurate records of children's development and attendance.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management: Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Educational Programmes: Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children.
- Communication: Communicate regularly with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and incidents as required by regulatory bodies.
- Reputation Enhancement: Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery's reputation within the community through outreach and engagement activities.
- Environment: Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children at all times.
Requirements
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursery or childcare setting.
- Qualifications: Minimum of level 3 in Early years.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices, excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Staff Management: Ability to manage staff effectively while fostering a supportive atmosphere.
- Childcare Experience: Experience working with children in various age groups is essential.
What We Offer
- Salary: £30,000.00 per year.
