Early Years Leader Job Description

At Ultimate Activity Camps, we're seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Leader to join our team. As a key member of our camp staff, you'll be responsible for delivering a fun and engaging programme for our 4- and 5-year-old campers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the delivery of a high-quality Early Years programme, meeting all EYFS requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging sports, arts, and crafts activities, focusing on participation, development, and enjoyment.
  • Direct and support a small team of Early Years staff, promoting a positive and inclusive camp environment.
  • Ensure the welfare and safety of our campers, liaising with parents and guardians as needed.
  • Manage administrative duties, including sign-in/out, registration, and communication with parents.
  • Collaborate with the Camp Manager to promote the welfare of our campers and ensure a smooth camp operation.
Requirements:
  • Educated to a minimum of Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare or Primary Education, with significant experience working with 4- and 5-year-olds.
  • Proven experience in delivering activities and working with children, with a focus on participation and development.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to lead a group of children and work effectively in a team.
  • Good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and its application in a camp setting.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic situations and challenges on camp, with a proactive and conscientious approach.
