We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Lecturer to join our team at Liverpool John Moores University International Study Centre. As a key member of our teaching team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to international students on our university preparation programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and effective teaching to groups of international students, ensuring they meet their academic potential.
- Mark and provide feedback on student assignments and exams, adhering to quality standards and processes.
- Act as a Module Leader, coordinating a team of tutors, updating module handbooks, and preparing assessment analysis.
- Teach up to 20 hours per week across various modules on the engineering pathways, ensuring student punctuality, attendance, and appropriate behaviour.
- Maintain accurate progression risk tracking and student performance data, making every effort to secure the best performance from each student.
- Promote the creative use of technology-enhanced learning and ensure the Virtual Learning Environment meets provider and university standards.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A relevant teaching qualification.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in higher education, preferably with international students.
- Experience in developing and updating teaching materials, as well as working with a Virtual Learning Environment.
