About the Role:

As a Graduate Town Planner, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that creates and reviews development proposals, engages with local communities, and analyses data to inform planning applications. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting research on zoning regulations, land use policies, and environmental impact assessments to inform planning decisions.
  • Collaborating with teams to create and review development proposals, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and community needs.
  • Engaging with local communities to gather insights and address concerns, fostering strong relationships and trust.
  • Analysing data and preparing reports for planning applications, using GIS software and other planning tools to inform decision-making.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to improve planning outcomes.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to collect and interpret data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with GIS software and other planning tools, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • A willingness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment, with a growth mindset.
