We are currently looking for a skilled Industrial Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team at Tarmac Cloddach Sand and Gravel Quarry, Elgin, near Inverness.

The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic and inclusive environment where you will be responsible for carrying out scheduled planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities to maintain plant condition and performance.

  • Monitoring and maintaining condition and performance of the various plant equipment and identifying any circumstances that could result in an impact on availability or performance;
  • Carrying out mechanical activities safely and ensuring jobs are completed in a timely manner;

You will be reporting to the Section Manager and will work closely with the Quarry Manager to meet defined KPI targets.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Carrying out scheduled planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities;
  2. Monitoring and maintaining condition and performance of the various plant equipment;
  3. Identifying and addressing potential issues that could impact plant availability or performance;
  4. Leading mechanical breakdown and planned repairs to ensure expected plant reliability;

Additionally, you will be required to have good knowledge of crushing, screening, conveying, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as fault finding ability to identify defects and recommend appropriate action.
