Assistant Site Manager Job Description

Our client, a leading construction company, is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traditional build projects, with a focus on mixed-use schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Site Manager in the day-to-day operations of the site
  • Assist with inductions and toolbox talks to ensure a safe working environment
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard
  • Coordinate with sub-contractors and trades staff to ensure they are working in line with the project programme
  • Identify and report any issues that may impact the project timeline or quality
  • Organize and manage all trades and labour on site
  • Conduct NHBC stage inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Snagging and re-snagging to ensure high-quality finishes
  • Provide clear direction to the on-site construction team regarding responsibilities and targets
  • Ensure the development is completed in accordance with specification and the build programme
  • Drive quality at every stage of the construction process
  • Ensure Health and Safety protocols are followed and adhered to
  • Take responsibility for self-development and the development of others

Requirements:

  • Experience as an Assistant Site Manager in traditional build projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and procedures
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
