About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Bower Park Academy in Romford. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional educational needs, promoting a positive learning environment, and contributing to the overall success of the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with additional educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Assist teachers in the classroom, preparing materials, and maintaining a well-organized learning environment.
  • Work closely with the SEN department to develop and implement strategies to support students with special educational needs.
  • Provide intervention sessions to students who require additional support, helping them to catch up with their peers.
  • Support students' learning outside of the classroom, providing 1:1 and group support to help them achieve their academic goals.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Passion for working with children and a commitment to pursuing a career in education.
  • Reliability and flexibility, with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Two recent satisfactory references, and an enhanced DBS clearance (we will support with the application).
