Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Land Referencer to join our team at Carter Jonas LLP. As a key member of our infrastructure property sector team, you will be responsible for georeferencing and digitising features from CAD and paper plans into ArcGIS, managing data collection, interpretation, and input within the land system, and producing clear and precise legal documentation such as books of reference, order plans, notices, and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in georeferencing and digitising features from CAD and paper plans into ArcGIS
  • Manage data collection, interpretation, and input within the land system
  • Produce clear and precise legal documentation such as books of reference, order plans, notices, and schedules
  • Conduct site visits for door-knocking exercises, post notices, and communicate effectively and compassionately with members of the public
  • Regular attendance at client and stakeholder meetings

Requirements

  • A degree in geography/planning or a related field
  • Proven experience in producing books of reference, order plans, notices, and schedules
  • Competent GIS user, ideally ArcGIS, able to interpret and use land ownership data
  • Understanding of projects involving compulsory purchase advantageous
  • Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to various locations
