About the Role

As a Functional Specialist with Gaia Recruitment, you will have the opportunity to leverage your skills and experience in healthcare to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals.

This role involves conducting thorough assessments to evaluate how a claimant's health condition or disability affects their day-to-day life. You will work closely with our client to provide comprehensive reports that support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial reviews, assessments, and evaluations to gather information about claimants' health conditions and disabilities
  • Develop and maintain strong observational and communication skills to effectively interact with claimants and stakeholders
  • Produce high-quality reports that accurately reflect the findings of assessments and evaluations
  • Collaborate with our client to ensure that reports meet their requirements and standards
Requirements
  • One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic
  • Full registration with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, or other), without restriction or conditions, and with a valid PIN
  • Excellent observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathize, and dig deeper
  • Ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute
  • Demonstrable experience with using IT and Microsoft Office, as well as remotely accessing systems such as MS Teams
