Aviva is seeking a Lead Security DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team and drive innovation in software development and deployment processes within the Security Engineering Team.

Reporting to the Group CISO (Chief Information Security Office) business unit, you will be responsible for defining and running an effective DevOps lifecycle by maintaining the necessary tools, expertise, and processes to enhance Aviva's security stack.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of DevOps engineers to streamline software development, enhance system reliability, and improve operational efficiency within the security domain.
  • Developing the team's technical skillset and fostering a self-development environment focused on continuous learning and improvement in security technologies.
  • Collaborating with software developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to implement automated deployment pipelines for core security services, ensuring a robust and secure delivery approach.
  • Identifying opportunities to expand the DevOps function into new areas within security operations to provide added value and enhance Aviva's overall security posture.
  • Maintaining multiple CI/CD pipelines supporting core security services and driving a continuous delivery approach for enhanced security functionality.

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Experience in DevOps or cyber security operations within a large enterprise environment.
  • Expertise in DevOps technologies, automation, and scripting languages relevant to security practices.
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies and cloud architecture designs, specifically within the context of security solutions.
  • Demonstrable programming language proficiency and experience integrating applications using web service calls and APIs for secure communication.
