Role Overview:

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with SEMH needs, including ADHD and potential self-harming behaviors.
  • Support students across Key Stages 1 and 2, adapting to their various educational needs.
  • Provide nappy changing services as required.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored support plans and interventions.
  • Build positive relationships with students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or training in education, SEN, or child development are desirable.

Estimated Salary: £85 per day, based on location and industry standards.
