Pearson is seeking a highly skilled Assessment Professional to join our team as a Visiting Examiner. This role involves travelling to centres to mark candidates' performance and ensure that our assessment processes are rigorous and fair.

The Visiting Examiner will conduct centre visits, which may include marking examination work, conducting oral examinations, or observing practical examinations.

  • Mark candidates' performance according to published marking criteria and procedures.
  • Report any difficulties or concerns to the relevant authorities.
  • Undertake an allocated set of centre visits.
  • Provide written reports to the Chief Examiner and/or Team Leaders.
  • Hold a degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Have at least one year's teaching experience within the last 8 years in the relevant subject.
  • Be familiar with our assessment processes and have a strong understanding of the relevant subject area.
  • Be able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Have good IT skills and be proficient in using digital tools.

The estimated salary for this role is around £30,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience and location. We also offer a range of benefits, including a pension scheme, health insurance, and paid annual leave.
