Job Opportunity:

Are you passionate about supporting the education and development of students? Do you have a basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Harris Academy Rainham.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and groups of children, including those with SEN. You will work closely with teachers to ensure the provision supports learning needs and help to develop resources, schemes of work, and teaching strategies. Your responsibilities will include supervising and supporting students, leading small group sessions, and attending to students' personal needs. You will also assist with behaviour management, undertake learning activities, and prepare the classroom for lessons.

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with a basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers, as well as experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment. You should have a degree-level qualification or equivalent and be able to establish and maintain positive relationships with parents/carers. You will also need to be aware of Health and Safety issues in the workplace and have experience of managing and being responsible for your own workload.
