Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to lead our team in older people's mental health community services. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of our Stepped Care Therapies Service for older adults.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of psychologists and other mental health professionals in the delivery of high-quality care to older adults with mental health problems.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and therapies to support the recovery and well-being of our service users.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways and effective service delivery.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to junior staff members.
  • Contribute to the development of our service's strategic direction and operational plans.
About the Role

Requirements
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a clinical psychologist.
  • Experience of working in a mental health setting, particularly with older adults.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and service users.
