We are seeking two dedicated General Adult Psychiatry Consultants to join our Acute Hospital Liaison Service in Swindon. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to work within the Mental Health Unit at the Victoria Centre on the site of Great Western Hospital.

Job Overview

The successful candidates will be part of a team providing rapid, prioritised, and proportionate assessment of mental health needs for patients admitted to the hospital. We accept referrals for patients aged 18 and over from both wards and the Emergency Department.

Requirements:

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • CCT in General Adult Psychiatry
  • Experience of assessing and treating patients in an inpatient/community setting
  • Ability to assess and treat psychiatric problems in adults of working age and to deal with crisis situations
  • Commitment to and experience of undergraduate and postgraduate learning and teaching
  • Experience or involvement in a research project and publication
  • Experience of carrying out an audit project
  • Evidence of management/leadership skills training

Salary: £76,761 - £103,490 per annum (inclusive of London Allowance)
