Salary and Benefits:
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, paid for 34 hours of work per week. Additionally, they will receive a 4-day working week, on-call pay of £140 per week, overtime at time-and-a-half then double time, van and fuel card provided, 6.6 weeks' holiday including bank holidays, flexible working considered, and an employer pension scheme.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team in the central belt of Scotland. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers. They will also be responsible for conducting routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, and moving parts, to prolong the lifespan of HVAC equipment. Furthermore, the successful candidate will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, service, and troubleshoot a variety of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, moving parts, to prolong the lifespan of HVAC equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Conduct inspections and assessments of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role within the facilities management industry.
- F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
