About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Archivist to join our team at Bury Archives in Moss Street, Bury. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of an effective and efficient archive service for both the public and council officers within the Borough.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of policies, priorities, and procedures for the archive service.
  • Assist in the management of collections and ensure their preservation for future generations.
  • Work closely with the head of libraries and archives to ensure the delivery of a high-quality archive service.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain our accredited status and improve the service.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Archives Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of collections work within an archives environment.
  • Experience of using CALM or similar archive management systems.
