Salary
We offer an attractive salary package, commensurate with experience, starting at £22,167 per annum (pro rata). This salary reflects the grade 5 scale, which is £25,545-£28,770 per annum (pro rata) for full-time employment. As this position is part-time, you will receive a proportionate salary based on your working hours.
Job Description
This exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Team as a Teaching Assistant Specialising in Communication and Interaction. You will work closely with colleagues to provide targeted support to students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social Communication difficulties.
Your primary responsibility will be to assist students in accessing the curriculum in mainstream lessons or through group or one-to-one interventions outside the classroom. You will work collaboratively with the SEND Team to develop and implement tailored strategies to meet the needs of our students.
You will be required to have previous experience of working with SEND students, particularly those with ASD and communication difficulties. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role. Experience of working within an education setting is also highly desirable.
