NFU Opportunities for Agricultural Professionals

Job Title: County Adviser, Northumberland and North Durham Region

As a County Adviser for NFU, you will play a key role in providing expert guidance and support to farmers and growers in the Northumberland and North Durham region. This is a part-time, job-share position, with a salary of £24,600 per annum (equivalent to £41,000 per annum on a full-time basis). You will also receive a car allowance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to farmers and growers on best practices, new technologies, and industry developments.
  • Work closely with NFU colleagues and other stakeholders to identify and address key issues affecting the region's agricultural community.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with farmers, growers, and other industry professionals to promote the interests of NFU members.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in agriculture or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
