Job Title: Early Years SEN Educator

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Early Years SEN Educator to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. As a dedicated and passionate professional, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education to young learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in our welcoming SEN school in Hackney.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement customized lesson plans that cater to the unique developmental needs of each child, laying the groundwork for academic and social skills.
  • Collaborate closely with a team of SEN support staff and therapists to create cohesive individualized learning plans that address each child's specific needs.
  • Foster a warm and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, resilience, and confidence, helping each student feel secure and motivated to participate.
  • Engage in specialized training and professional development opportunities focused on Early Years SEN practices, refining your approach to support effective inclusive learning.
  • Continuously assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed, and provide regular feedback to parents and SEN team members to ensure consistent aligned support.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience in Early Years education; SEN experience is highly desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and creativity in lesson planning, enabling you to design engaging and adaptable activities that meet a range of developmental abilities and learning styles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with support staff, parents, and SEN professionals, building a network of support for each child's growth.
  • A collaborative approach and dedication to inclusive education, with a commitment to fostering a positive supportive environment for young learners.
  • A current clear Enhanced DBS check is required to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students.

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
