Mental Health Specialist Teacher

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Specialist Teacher to join our dedicated team at GSL Education in Chelmsford.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering specialized teaching to students with Special Educational Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This will involve creating engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students, supporting them in one-to-one or small group settings, and helping them understand and engage with the curriculum according to key stages.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching to students with SEND needs.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum.
- Support students in their academic and personal development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods accordingly.
- Collaborate with SENCOs, staff, and guardians to enhance student outcomes.
Requirements
- Possession of QTS or equivalent qualifications such as PGCE, NQT, or ECT is mandatory.
- A degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience as a SEMH Teacher is essential.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits
