About the Role

Gleeds is seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team in the Midlands, based in our Birmingham office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing building surveying commissions, including surveys, dilapidation advice, party wall advice, and construction projects for new builds, renovations, and maintenance works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support business unit directors in delivering business objectives
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Deliver high-quality services and ensure building surveying deliverables meet customer requirements
  • Manage projects to deliver high-quality services and deliverables in accordance with business procedures
  • Manage building surveying commissions, including surveys, dilapidation advice, party wall advice, and construction projects
  • Quality monitor construction projects
  • Plan service delivery in conjunction with the Director
  • Communicate with clients and project team members
  • Ensure all quantitative and financial information is independently checked
  • Mentor and coach employees
  • Prepare bids for services
  • Manage services delivery for profit
  • Advise directors of any issues that may impact on Gleeds professional indemnity insurance

About You

We are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor with a sound knowledge of construction methods and materials, as well as a thorough understanding of construction procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and be able to work as part of a team and lead teams.

  • MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
