About Your New Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our HR & Development team as an Early Careers Development Advisor. This exciting opportunity will involve identifying, designing, delivering, and evaluating learning and development programmes for our early careers cohorts, including professional skills training and induction programmes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Coaching and Development: Conduct regular structured coaching sessions with apprentices and trainee solicitors to assist their development and growth.
  2. Programme Design and Delivery: Design, implement, and deliver work experience programmes with the support of the EC team, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for our early careers cohorts.
  3. Programme Promotion: Promote our early careers programmes through the delivery of virtual and in-person open evenings and law fairs, showcasing the opportunities available to our early careers cohorts.
  4. Training Needs Analysis: Identify training and coaching needs and provide solutions in an annual training programme, ensuring that our early careers cohorts have the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their roles.
  5. Programme Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of all training programmes and amend and revise programmes as necessary, ensuring that our early careers cohorts are receiving the best possible learning experience.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that all training meets the business needs and objectives, capturing ongoing training needs and providing solutions to support the growth and development of our early careers cohorts.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • A qualification in Learning & Development or comparable expertise through experience (3-5 years experience would be desirable).
  • Knowledge of a range of learning and development methods to support the embedding of knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
  • Excellent design, development, and delivery capability.
  • Strong coaching skills.
  • Fully proficient at Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook (Microsoft Office).
