Electrical Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's established Manufacturing Maintenance team at Reed Engineering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various departments through both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal disruption to production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Engineering team in achieving zero breakdowns.
  • Perform planned maintenance tasks autonomously to maximise machinery uptime.
  • Provide proactive support for reactive maintenance tasks, minimising manufacturing downtime.
  • Work on electrical installations up to 440V, process safety circuits, and control circuits, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Conduct fault diagnosis using mechanical and electrical root cause analysis to identify problems and implement solutions.

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 3 or higher in Engineering, with a minimum of five years' experience in Electrical and Mechanical maintenance.
  • Completed Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in applying Engineering knowledge and skills for root cause analysis.
  • Basic welding techniques.
