About the Role

Cammax Limited is seeking a highly skilled IT System Administrator to join our team in Castleford. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our server and network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform server administration tasks, including user/group management, security permissions, and group policies.
  • Monitor system performance and identify potential issues or capacity limitations.
  • Manage SharePoint sites and role-based permissions.
  • Implement security solutions in line with Group level IS directives.
  • Monitor core systems and server environment health using management tools.
  • Respond to hardware issues and assist in building, testing, and maintaining new servers.
  • Manage network servers and technology tools.
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages.
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
  • Manage assets and patch management of internal infrastructure and for managed services.
  • Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
  • Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.
  • Assist in application support with the service desk.
Requirements
  • Proven success in an IT system administrator role.
  • Experience with or knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, and Microsoft Azure and virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud hosting on Microsoft Azure or AWS services.
  • Network installations and monitoring.
  • Experience of firewalls and VPN solutions is desirable.
  • Problem analysis.
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, Virtualization technologies, and cloud hosting.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 security contract implementation.
  • Professional certifications.
  • Knowledge of security solutions such as Zscalar, Cloudflare, Crowdstrike, and Rapid7 is desirable.
