About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to lead our project teams and deliver a wide range of project types. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for developing early-stage concept designs, reviewing and quality checking information, and representing Curtins at project meetings.

You will work independently and under limited supervision, with responsibility for delivering projects from concept to completion. You will also be expected to have an awareness of financial management and participate in the quality management of projects.

As a leader, you will be responsible for mentoring and developing junior engineers and technicians, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project teams to deliver a wide range of project types, including masterplan developments, commercial buildings, education and healthcare facilities, industrial buildings, and tall structures.
  • Develop early-stage concept designs and review and quality check information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Represent Curtins at project meetings, both during the early design stages and through the construction stage.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional results.
  • Participate in the quality management of projects and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in delivering project work under limited or no supervision.
  • A working knowledge of key design software packages.
  • An understanding of how to implement model validation on these packages.
  • Proficiency in designing steel and reinforced concrete structures.
  • Experience leading and developing junior engineers and technicians.
  • Hands-on experience with refurbishment projects, including assessing existing structures, proposing modifications, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • A Chartered Engineer or actively working under a recognised professional Institution training pathway.
