Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Power Design Engineer to join our team at Thomas Thor. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation nuclear power technology with a global leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse metallic, reinforced concrete, and soil-subgrade supported structures to support engineering and licensing requirements.
  • Develop mature designs by critical thinking, literature research, interacting with team members from other disciplines and vendors, and analyses permitted by project milestones.
  • Support development of engineering and licensing requirements and documentation for nuclear structures, systems, and components.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical/Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Industrial experience in stress analysis codes such as ANSYS, LS-DYNA, and STAAD.
  • Prior nuclear industry experience.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Salary & Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, pension scheme, and 25 days' annual leave.
